In our ongoing battle against copies of our products, we are pleased to have won one of our legal battles with the help of skilled Australian intellectual-property lawyers; K&L Gates. In Australia where most of the fakes (or 'replicas' as they are referred to there) are sold, the laws are very weak and there is not much protection for designers.

We are pleased to make this announcement:
“David Trubridge and Domayne are pleased to advise that they have resolved commercially a disagreement regarding the nature of intellectual property rights that may exist in David Trubridge’s ‘Floral’ and ‘Coral’ pendant lights. As a result of their agreement Domayne franchisees will no longer offer for sale pendant lights of the same design. Domayne has reached this understanding on a commercial basis, recognising its commitment to innovative design. David Trubridge, a designer and creator of innovative and unique lighting, furniture and sculpture, has acknowledged and is pleased to accept the good faith resolution of this matter in this manner.”
