Wanted Design 2012
David Trubridge will show at 2012 Wanted Design in New York presented by his American Distributor WakaNINE. This exhibtion marks the North American launch of Baskets of Knowledge which are based on a New Zealand Maori myth. On show will be the recently released mini Grow lights: Koura, Kina and Hinaki. Also on display will be a new range of outdoor Coral lights made from aluminium in America licensed by wakaNINE. Some sneak peeks will include LUUP table which is a new knock down furniture concept and jewelery by David inspired by his lights.

Milan Design Fair 2012
We will have a strong presence as usual at this years Milan Design fair, however we will not be presenting this show ourselves. It is the first year one of our distributors has been able to present the show for us and we are excited this can happen. This year the Milan show is called 'Living with Trubridge' and is presented by our Italian Distributor B.Morone.
Pompidou Centre Purchases Icarus
ICARUS is purchased for the permanent collection of the Pompidou Centre in Paris. In February 2012 the Pompidou Centre purchased three large works for its permanent design collection by New Zealand designer David Trubridge.
Design for Asia Award
Design for Asia Award has an enormous amount of entrants and is widely known for its eye on new innovative products available throughout Asia. We are proud to have a received a merit award for our Grow range of Kitset Bamboo light shades that are part of the Seed System. Read more about DFA here.
Open Day for New Premises
The new David Trubridge Premises is now open to the public Monday-Friday 10am-4pm and is having a special open day where one Coral or Floral light will be given away on the day by draw. Please come and have a look around if you are in the area.
Move to New Premises
David Trubridge Design has at last moved into its own brand new premises. The building was designed by David to incorporate our workshop, design studio and, most exciting of all, a showroom. We have never had this public space up until now, nor has there been a place where all our lights could be seen in one place, particularly the big showpiece ones. In fact, there can be very few similar venues in the world where you can meet the designer and his team in their studio, see a display of the actual designs themselves, and watch the fabrication happening out the back through a glass window.
National Wood Innovation Showcase
We are involved with the 'Winning With Wood' The National Wood Innovation Showcase 5th September - 22nd October 2011. Special locations are organized for viewing our designs and artworks. Macef International Home Show - Milan
Our Italian Distributor, BMorone is exhibiting David Trubridge Designs at this years Macef International Home Show. In pride of place will be the Seed System kitset bamboo lightshade range, Wing Light, and Giant Koura.
