Some of the best creative work results from a gradual progression of ideas. David's Manuka Light is an example of this. Inspired by his time tramping in the New Zealand bush, David developed a screen for his bach in Mahanga based on leaf shapes. Amy Lynch, one of his designers, took the idea further and rearranged the shapes to create the delicate, five-pointed Manuka blossoms. The light itself was a natural progression of this screen. Manuka is a small tree indigenous to New Zealand with a tiny white flower.
